Greys and Torreys

After a long awaited arrival, I'm finally posting photos from our June adventure up Grays Peak (14,278ft) and Torreys Peak (14,275ft).  The crew consisted of Ian, Ayla, Penny, Raya and I.  Three of whom had never climbed a 14er.  If you're not familiar with the language of Colorado, a "14er" is a 14,000ft mountain.  Hope you enjoy!

Raya at sunrise from the East side of Grays Peak.

Looking toward Torreys Peak.

The moon set on our ascent shortly after the sun rose.  Couldn't ask for more...

Penny sportin' her leather Bexar Goods collar.  By the way Falcon, why haven't I seen this photo on the Bexar Goods website?

Can you #findRaya?

Found her!  She's on top.

Looks like that fella made it, too.

If you couldn't see him in the last photo.  Here he is all blowed up!

Penny, why you gotta look so sad?

Oh, it's picture time, and Penny no like picture time.

Raya let's take one final picture on Grays Peak to thank my unofficial sponsor, Dirty Girl Gaiters.  Notice those colorful things around my ankles?  Those keep rocks, dirt, and debris out of my shoes making life outside a lot more enjoyable.

Look!  Those dudes found some goats

Goats? Penny and Raya ain't got no time for that, they're busy baggin' peaks.

The view from Torreys Peak ain't half bad either.

While we were chillin' atop Torreys Peak, we received word that the Supreme Court overturned the Defense of Marriage Act (aka "DOMA").  Hooray for people!

Okay, one more looksy at the mountains before we head down.  Oh, and a little more shameless advertising for Dirty Girl Gaiters. www.dirtygirlgaiters.com
Raya and I ended our adventure with this sunset... Until next time, good day!

One love,
